Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain thermal spray systems and equipment
• Understand the application of thermal spray coatings for industrial reliability and repair
• Maintain inventories and set up tooling for coating activities
• Conduct inspection of parts and required tests
• Maintain records and ensure safety, quality, and timeliness of coating activities
• Advance through levels of performance and responsibility within the spray department
• Train and mentor staff on spray operations
• Maintain and ensure the safety and efficiency of equipment and facilities
• Participate in ongoing training and career development opportunities

• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure it is functioning properly
• Troubleshoot equipment issues as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
• Inspect surfaces before and after spraying to ensure quality
• Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
• Monitor and adjust spray equipment to ensure proper application
• Operate thermal spray equipment to apply coatings to various surfaces
• Prepare surfaces for spraying by cleaning, masking, and degreasing
