Your Opportunity as the Plant Area Leader

Provide a clear vision and direction for our operations technicians in the roast and ground area of our Gentilly coffee plant. Leverage your leadership skills to model a high performance mindset and manage projects related to performance and improvements from start to finish. Location: New Orleans, LA

Working Arrangements: 100% on-site at our Gentilly facility

In this role you will:

* Coach and develop Team Leaders and 45+ Technicians to enhance peak performance

* Partner with Department Leader in developing and delivering business plans

* Lead specific technical and performance improvement projects by providing clear direction and accountability to results

* Assist in developing and executing key technical and organizational projects while increasing Smucker Quality Management System capability within the organization

* Leverage leadership skills through the coaching of teams and individuals by modeling our High Performance Organizational principles

What we are looking for:

* Bachelor Degree in engineering or related field

* 1+ year of prior manufacturing experience

* Prior experience leading and influencing mid to large sized teams

* Strong problem solving/trouble shooting skills with a proactive approach

* Experience with root cause analysis

* Strong communication and cross collaboration skills

* Ability to work a flexible schedule
