About the Role

This is a Key Role in the coordination of care for our clients and caregivers. Teachers and CNA's do well in this important position. Visiting Angels has a tried & true path to follow, yet we are always open to intelligent suggestions. The ability to listen, learn and communicate clearly, fluently and diplomatically - both orally and in writing are imperative. Responsibilities

  • Many phone calls will be for you as you schedule caregivers for hours of service on new clients and open hours/shifts on existing cases.
  • Provide consistency in caregiver scheduling with clients.
  • Maintain computer schedules and ensure timely data entry of conversations/requests from clients and caregivers.
  • Contact and/or visit clients and caregivers in the client's home to enjoy meeting them face to face, gauge satisfaction of service, ensure caregiver efficacy, and apply any needed scheduling changes.
  • Attend regular, brief and informative “Round Table Meetings” and Luncheons with the angel team.
  • Enter and maintain client and caregiver information, conversations and home visits into the Schedule System database.
  • Maintain professionalism; provide support and encouragement to the caregivers.
  • Monitor telephony logs daily, making appropriate corrections to the system to facilitate accurate processing of payroll and billing.
  • Regularly update the direct supervisor about open shifts after making a thorough effort to staff the shifts.
  • Generate timely reports on caregiver supply and demand for direct supervisor.
  • Communicate and reinforce Visiting Angels' clearly outlined policies and procedures.
  • Communicate and refer appropriate matters to the LPN, Care Manager or Director for direction or assistance.
  • Participate in 90-day, annual evaluations and performance improvement plans for the caregiver team.
  • Identify areas for improvement and education needs of caregivers.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients and their families, prospective clients, caregivers, fellow team members and referral sources.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality of all information pertaining to employees, clients and client's family member.
  • Demonstrate dependability and reliability.
  • Manage on-call telephone responsibility as needed (one week every 6-8weeks) 7 days, evenings and weekends, as directed.
  • Keep on-call materials current with client information, instructions and directions, the current roster of care and list of active caregivers.
  • Manage calls in accordance with the company policies.
  • Maintain regular, predictable attendance.
  • Perform other functions as deemed appropriate by the management team.


Qualifications

High school diploma and two years of experience in an office setting, preferably in private duty homecare. Caregiver experience preferred. Teachers & CNA's do well here.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) applications, scheduling systems and other healthcare industry-related software.

Required Skills Preferred Skills Pay range and compensation package

Pay range $41,600 - $52,000. Premium Medical and Dental insurance as well as Life and Short Term Disability insurance provided. Company car for business use and full uniforms supplied.

2 weeks vacation 1st year, 3 weeks in 2nd year for employees in good standing. 9 Holidays and PTO accrual also provided.

Ability to plan, organize ,prioritize, delegate and accurately complete work activities within specific deadlines while managing interruptions.
