JOB TITLE: Transport-Driver

LOCATION: Lake Charles, LA

REPORTS TO: Transportation Manager

SCHEDULE: Day/Nights, Hours TBD. Overtime and weekends required. (DAY SHIFT: Tuesday through Saturday/NIGHT SHIFT: Sunday through Thursday)

COMPENSATION: Hourly. Commensurate with skills and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow delivery instructions, and maintain compliance with all DOT, company and customer safety and operational policies and procedures
• Properly load and unload product in a safe, and efficient manner
• Connect and disconnect hoses, operating pumps and valves for loading and unloading, safely filling tanks using various size hoses, nozzles and fittings
• Use onboard technology (Fleet Panda, Samsara, ect) as instructed.
• Complete paperwork accurately and timely.
• Comply with company spill, accident and incident reporting procedures.
• Other related tasks as assigned by manager

Job requirements

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

• Must live within 60 miles of the yard.
• Minimum age 23
• Valid class A license with hazmat and tanker endorsements, a good driving record and a good understanding of DOT regulations
• Must have 1 year liquid bulk or 2 years tractor trailer driving experience
• Must be able to pass background screening including MVR and criminal
• Must be able to pass a DOT Drug test, No SAP programs, and good clearinghouse.
• Stable employment history
• May be required to lift objects weighing 50 pounds
• Must be able to work weekends, and an extended workweek.
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Must be able to read, speak, write and communicate using the English language well enough to perform the job functions
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Must be able to use three points of access getting in and out of the tractor, multiple times a day
• Must be able to climb up steps to verify tank compartments as needed
• Must be able to work safely in uneven or muddy surfaces
• Strong customer service skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize.
