The Assistant Director, reporting directly to the Director, oversees the administrative, financial, and programming operations of the Global Humanities Center. This role manages all budgetary matters, including overseeing both restricted and unrestricted ledgers in the centers budget, forecasting expenditures, and advising the Director on financial decisions. A key responsibility is overseeing the Centers internal grants/fellowships program which supports faculty research. This includes overseeing grant/fellowship applications, award management, and more. The assistant director may supervise staff, postdocs, and student employees, handles administrative elements of recruitment and training of student workers, and manages purchasing and records.
