The Safety Officer plays a vital role in supporting the University of New Orleans commitment to a safe and compliant campus environment. This position is responsible for coordinating and implementing campus-wide safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with state and federal safety regulations, and serving as the primary liaison with external safety and emergency preparedness agencies. The Safety Officer will lead inspections, accident investigations, training, and emergency preparedness efforts, helping to promote a culture of safety and risk mitigation throughout the university community. Position Responsibilities:Ability to become an Operational Risk Management (ORM) registered Loss Prevention Coordinator by taking required courses Safety meetings, Incident/accident investigation, Inspections, Supervisors Responsibilities and Job Safety Analysis.
