Ability to drive a multi-passenger vehicle safely and appropriately, including the ability to read and interpret road signs in English:Operates a passenger van safely and efficiently. Follows specific regularly scheduled routes, and charter routes or responds to requests from dispatch or management for unscheduled pick-ups or drop-offs. Assists passengers in boarding and exiting vehicles. Loads and unloads luggage, packages, and other items. Preventative maintenance and records of vehicle repairs:Inspect the exterior and interior of the vehicle at the beginning of each shift for properly operating headlights, turn signals, brake lights, air conditioning or heating, vehicle damage, etc. Recognizes vehicle maintenance needs. Prepares concise, accurate records and reports. Understands and adheres to the rules and regulations of the Federal Transit Administration and/or Department of Transportation.
