Description:

The Executive Director of Career Management at the Freeman School of Business leads the strategic vision and operational excellence of the Career Management Center (CMC), serving both graduate and undergraduate business students. This innovative leader drives career readiness initiatives, enhances employment outcomes, and cultivates meaningful employer and alumni partnerships that distinguish Freeman in the competitive business education landscape.

Reporting to the Senior Associate Dean of Academic Programs and working closely with senior leadership, faculty, and external partners, the Executive Director leads a high-performing team of 15+ professionals specializing in career education, career coaching, employer relations, and operations. The Executive Director drives alignment of CMC programming with the School's strategic priorities while adapting to evolving student needs and employment market dynamics.

This leadership role influences Freeman's reputation among employers, impacts national rankings through placement metrics, and enhances student and alumni success. The Executive Director will bring deep expertise in career development, relationship management, and team leadership within higher education or business environments.

•Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that improve career outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction

•Proven success cultivating relationships with corporate partners, alumni, and other external stakeholders

•Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

•Strong data fluency and experience leveraging career outcomes, CRM, and recruiting platforms to drive decisions

•Graduate Degree in business, human resources, higher education, or related field, and 8+ years of progressive experience in career services, employer relations, or talent development, including significant leadership and supervisory responsibility

•Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 15+ years of equivalent experience

•Experience leading graduate career services or employer engagement in a business school or graduate-level higher education setting

•Familiarity with industry-standard platforms such as Handshake, 12Twenty, Salesforce, or equivalent CRM and career management systems

•A network of industry contacts and understanding of employment trends relevant to business school graduates
