Seeking a highly motivated full-time Research Associate 1 or 2 to join our research efforts on how neuropeptidergic systems in the brain change with aging. Our lab studies the oxytocin system in the mouse brain, looking at how aging affects brain circuits and influences social behavior and recognition. A primary area of interest is the progression of neurodegenerative disorders, particularly Alzheimers disease. Our research tools include whole-brain mapping techniques using high-resolution 3 D imaging, such as state-of-the-art tissue clearing and light sheet microscopy, along with related computational analysis in rodents.
