Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Rotating 12-hour shift schedules with rotating weekends off. Hours are 6:00 pm-6:30 am. JOB SUMMARY: Sergeant is a supervisory ARMED security officer who supervises four or more subordinate ARMED security officers, reports to and assists Lieutenants, Captains, and the Director with watch related duties and hospital security related responsibilities. Supervisory duties include, but not limited to, scheduling and assigning security officers to posts, overseeing patrols, providing evaluations of subordinates, and reviewing reports. Sergeants will patrol the interior and exterior grounds of the hospital to protect property and to assist in providing a safe environment for all patients, visitors, physicians and employees. Responds to all emergency situations and alerts local authorities when required. Monitors vehicle and pedestrian traffic on hospital property. Monitors visitors and issue passes after hours.
