AECOM is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Water business line, specializing in heavy mechanical engineering. In this role, you will design, develop, and oversee the fabrication of large-scale mechanical systems that are critical to water infrastructure. You will work on a variety of complex projects involving waterworks gates such as vertical lift gates, radial gates, sluice gates, Tainter gates, and sector gates. Additionally, you will be required to size and select winches, wire rope and chain hoisting systems, hydraulic, pneumatic and electric actuators, gear systems, and other precision mechanisms associated with these gates, delivering solutions that meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. You will be involved with various types of cranes, including Overhead Gantry Cranes and Rail Mounted Gantry Cranes that are associated with these structures.
