Position Information
This position may be filled as either a Probational or a Job Appointment (open to all qualified applicants); a Promotion (open to all statewide classified and agency-wide permanent status employees); or by Detail to Special Duty. Current permanent status, classified employees may be required to accept a Probational appointment if selected. If filled as a Job Appointment, there is a possibility that this position may be converted to a Probational Appointment should funding become available.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
FUNCTION OF WORK:
To serve as a technical specialist in multiple Workforce Development program support areas or for a statewide workforce development program.
LEVEL OF WORK:
Expert.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Broad from higher-level Workforce Development personnel.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Provides functional supervision over lower-level Workforce Development personnel as needed for the assigned program.
LOCATION OF WORK:
May be used by state agencies with workforce development functions.
JOB DISTINCTIONS:
Differs from Workforce Development Specialist 4 by the presence of responsibility for serving as a technical specialist in multiple program support areas or for a statewide program. Differs from Workforce Development Supervisor by the absence of direct supervisory responsibility.
