Responsibilities:
* Design, test and deploy applications that combine computer vision, robotics and artificial intelligence.
* Develop innovative algorithms for quality control, segmentation, object detection and other common industrial applications.
* Analyze data and develop training sets for artificial intelligence algorithms.
* Independently troubleshoot, document, and debug software for controls systems including field devices such as cameras, lasers, encoders, actuators, valves, scales, pumps, motors, etc.
* Design and maintain industrial systems that integrate 3rd party components with intelligent, robust software.
* Create documentation and training materials for all potential users including engineers, customers, and end-users.
* Provide remote and on-site (in-plant) troubleshooting of control systems and their interfaces.
* Complete assigned projects to quality standards, on time, and within budget
* Interface with a global team of like-minded professionals
Requirements:
* Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of industrial control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and motion control.
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, C#, Structured Text.
* Experience with computer vision libraries (HALCON, OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
* Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and tools for model training and deployment.
* Hands-on experience with robotic systems and automation hardware.
* Hands-on experience with food processing applications, anomaly detection models and object tracking in conveyor belts.
* Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC UA, EtherCAT).
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills; mastery of English language
* Work in a team environment; acceptance of established standards
* Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including occasional overnight and international trips as required by project needs.
