Key Responsibilities:* Balance resource requirements within interdependent shop flows and constraints to optimize production efficiency.* Develop and oversee component requirements and work-in-process (WIP) across various production stations to ensure seamless operations.* Ensure visibility and adherence to timelines for Service, Stock, R&D, and Intercompany requirements. Coordinate these priorities alongside major equipment production schedules.* Monitor and review ERP workbenches to identify and resolve transaction errors, ensuring data accuracy and operational efficiency.* Manage month-end processes, including shop order review and cleanup, to ensure accurate reporting and smooth operations.* Support the collection, analysis, and consolidation of metrics to identify trends and address outliers for continuous improvement.* Design and implement effective forecasting methods to optimize procurement and inventory management.* Release and maintain shop orders to ensure efficient production workflows.* Conduct weekly planning meetings and collaborate with supervisors to adjust work hours and reallocate resources to meet production timelines.* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance finite capacity planning, production scheduling, order data accuracy, and communication between office and shop floor teams.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering/Technology, or a related field, 5+ years of experience acceptable in lieu of degree
* 2+ years of relevant experience as a Scheduler or Production Planner.
* Strong understanding of theory of constraints, material resource planning (MRP), lean manufacturing principles, and ERP/MRP systems, with a proven ability to improve these systems in real-world applications.
* Demonstrated ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage competing demands in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing solutions.
* Practical approach to troubleshooting and resolving production challenges, including direct involvement in shop floor operations.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and engineering, to achieve shared goals.
* Exceptional organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage production schedules, and ensure accuracy in planning.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members, suppliers, and stakeholders.
* Proficiency in Teams, and Office Suite, with advanced Excel capabilities.
Desired Qualifications:
* ASCM CPIM/CSCP certifications.
* Production planning/scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly HMLV.
* Experience with Infor XA or comparable ERP/MES systems geared toward manufacturing.
* Proficiency in Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
