Senior Business Analyst, Supply Chain

This position is responsible for supporting risk and compliance activities within Procurement & Supply Chain, including policy governance, regulatory testing, and audit support. The role involves working cross-functionally with legal, internal audit, ethics & compliance, enterprise risk, and supply chain partners to ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and regulations. Responsibilities include assisting with audits and certifications, preparing compliance reports, maintaining policy documentation, and supporting third-party risk management activities as needed. The position requires strong business acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate compliance requirements in clear, practical terms.

Job duties/responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that the team and its suppliers always put safety first.
  • Operating with highest ethical standards and in full compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures, regulations and laws.
  • Supporting execution of supply chain risk and compliance activities, including sox, ferc, and enterprise risk management activities (inquiries, testing, etc.).
  • Assisting with internal and external audits by gathering evidence, preparing responses, and tracking remediation through closure.
  • Reviewing and maintaining procurement & supply chain policies and procedures; supporting periodic updates and compliance reviews.
  • Preparing compliance reports, certifications, and scorecards for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Serving as a point of contact for compliance requests from legal, audit, ethics & compliance, and enterprise risk.
  • Providing support for third-party risk management activities, including vendor screenings and remediation tracking.
  • Developing and maintaining standardized tools, templates, and checklists to improve consistency in compliance activities.
  • Partnering with business units and suppliers to promote compliance awareness and reinforce standards of conduct.
  • Facilitating ongoing compliance with third-party management requirements outlined in policies and standards.
  • Summarizing compliance and risk posture in executive-ready reports and presentations.
  • Contributing to process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and strengthen controls.

Minimum education required of the position is a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, engineering, or related discipline or equivalent experience. Ms or mba preferred. Professional supply chain/procurement certification. Minimum experience required of the position is six years related professional experience (preferred compliance, process or training experience) (10 years' experience without a degree). Preferred: three-four years of related supply chain experience supporting utility and operations business functions. Six sigma, cpa or other supply chain related experience preferred.
