Account Executive
Responsible for providing technical, commercial, and customer service support through dedicated account management for Entergy's national accounts. The account executive will provide one point of contact with overall responsibility for creating and facilitating growth and improving customer service.
Job duties include:
- Understanding and building relationships with national account ecosystem, including customer leadership and decision makers.
- Developing and implementing account plans for Entergy's managed portfolio of assigned national accounts.
- Negotiating and coordinating all service and contract activities associated with new and expanding national account customers including contract administration.
- Resolving customer issues/concerns relative to sales, service, and reliability.
- Promoting applicable products to national account customers and working closely with economic development to encourage growth, expansion, and new revenue streams.
- Continuously monitoring and analyzing customer sales performance data, customer feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Driving retention and satisfaction efforts for national accounts customers, ensuring the sustainability and growth of core market segments.
- Having a close working relationship with field engineers, various operations groups, and local customer service managers, ensuring timely and effective response to customer needs.
- Preparing and delivering "State of the Account Reports," complete rate comparison studies, and updating interactions and account management activities in SalesForce or another CRM tool.
- Serving as a consistent customer liaison during emergency response and storm restoration efforts.
Minimum requirements include:
BS Engineering preferred, BS Business, Management, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years managed account customer service experience.
Experience in and understanding of overall utility operations processes and procedures. Strong skills in business retention and expansion as well as business recruitment. Knowledge of ESG and sustainability concepts and products and services that support them. Proven successful sales experience. Knowledge of rates and contracts and developing resolution for complex power quality/reliability issues. Knowledge of major accounts billing, account management sales/service, and overall customer operations including meter reading, billing/large customer accounting. Negotiation skills. Strong interpersonal skills, strong communication skills, knowledge of SalesForce, the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Primary locations include Louisiana-New Orleans, Mississippi: Jackson, Arkansas: Little Rock, Louisiana: New Orleans, and Texas: The Woodlands.
