The Marine Systems business is seeking a Subcontract Project Manager for the New Orleans, LA location. The Project Manager will own a subset of acquisitions for a major defense program, under the supervisor of a Sr. Subcontracts Manager, and work within a highly collaborative and dynamic Marine Systems SCM & Program Office. This role requires excellent organization, teamwork, and communication skills to ensure supplier program execution that meets mission objectives. A successful candidate in this role will be action-oriented, have strong written and verbal communication, and exhibit a team mentality.
The Subcontract Project Manager will have responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar discipline required. * 3 years of experience working on project teams, inclusive of project schedule development/monitoring and risk management. * Experience working with or in a Procurement Organization * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Experience evaluating program Risks and Opportunities. * Demonstrated experience in a team-based environment - team player. * Demonstrated ability to works across organizational boundaries. * Strong interpersonal skills. * Proficiency in MS office. * This position requires that the candidate be a US citizen with or capable of receiving a Secret level security clearance. Qualified applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for a Secret clearance.
* Broad based business experience with emphasis on negotiating and administering contractual agreement, in industrial manufacturing field preferred. * PMP Certification or equivalent.
