Director of Billing and Accounts Receivables

Professional, supervisory, administrative, and technical work directing all activities relating to the Billing and Accounts Receivables Department. The Director of Billing and Accounts Receivables is responsible for monitoring and managing all functional areas of the billing office, including billing, reimbursement, accounts receivable, and related compliance and privacy requirements. The position is also responsible for the overall performance of SWBNO's billing hearing functions. Position will also function as the second in command to the Chief Customer Service Officer. Work includes planning, assigning and reviewing the work of mid and lower-level managers and providing leadership, personnel and technical guidance to staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or related field from an accredited college or university. Six (6) years of professional, salaried, administrative experience in a similar role. At least two (2) years of this experience must have included supervising a professional staff engaged in Billing, Collections, Bankruptcy and/or Customer Service work, and monitoring and managing budgets. Prior to appointment, the hiring agency is required to verify education claimed by the applicant to qualify for this classification. If selected for hire, applicants must provide original documents of their qualifying credentials to the hiring agency prior to their start date in this job classification. Note: Domicile requirements are currently waived for the purpose of application. Residency requirements are waived for all Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans positions vacant and advertised for at least 90 days. Employees hired under this waiver remain exempt from the city's residency requirement for the duration of their employment at the Sewerage and Water Board. (La R.S. 33:4076).
