This position, in the Transmission Planning group, is required for performing studies associated with Generator Interconnection. JOB DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform steady state load flow analysis in the planning horizon. Perform transient stability, voltage stability, and small signal stability studies. Familiarity with the PSS/ E and TSAT software packages for load flow and stability analyses and positive sequence generator modeling (synchronous machines and IBR plants). Familiarity with the MISO DPP process and applicable NERC and IEEE standards (e.g. NERC FAC-002, NERC TPL-001, IEEE P 2800, IEEE 519). Perform transient studies using PSCAD software for IBR integration (model quality tests, weak grid analysis, control interactions). Perform short circuit analysis and breaker rating studies using CAPE software. Analyze disturbance monitoring devices such as dynamic recorders and phasor measurement units.
