Staffmark is hiring a Shop Assistant in Abita Springs, LA! This is a great opportunity for someone who's mechanically inclined and eager to learn CNC machine operations and precision manufacturing.

Pay: $14.00-$16.00/hour (Based on experience)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor CNC machines to ensure proper performance
• Cut and shape parts to meet specifications
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and instructions
• Maintain machinery and keep the work area clean and organized
• Assist with general shop duties as needed

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in a mechanical, manufacturing, or related environment preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Basic understanding of technical drawings and measurements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a hands-on production environment
