About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our facilities and maintenance team. The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment in buildings and work areas. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that all facilities are well-kept, sanitary, and presentable for employees, visitors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles and ensure proper waste disposal.
• Refill and maintain supplies such as soap, paper towels, and restroom items.
• Clean windows, doors, furniture, and fixtures.
• Assist with setup and teardown for meetings, events, or facility functions.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or repair needs promptly.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and maintain supplies in good condition.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and safety procedures.
• Support special cleaning or maintenance projects as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior custodial, janitorial, or maintenance experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, orderly spaces.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and reaching for extended periods.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Experience with floor care (buffing, waxing, stripping).
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper handling techniques (MSDS awareness).
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards (OSHA compliance).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
