Job Summary: Ensures safe, efficient operation of all electrical equipment, lighting fixtures, transformer sub-stations, power & data wiring equipment and other related systems. Assists Shift Supervisors with daily assignments and scheduling of Electrician personnel. Coordinates all functions of the Electrical Shop.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance of all electrical equipment and related systems.
  • Applies operational procedures as required by state and local codes.
  • Maintains log of all equipment status and inventory of parts and materials necessary for repairs.
  • Keeps all equipment, equipment rooms and other assigned areas clean.
  • Responsible for preventive and regular maintenance of all equipment.
  • Assists all other trades in the Facilities Department as directed by Shift Supervisor.
  • A security escort is required should these persons perform these job functions in a restricted casino area. Performs duties as assigned, always presenting oneself as a credit to Caesars and encourages others to do the same.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate preferred.
  • Must possess strong communication skills.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Minimum five years experience working with electrical equipment and other related systems.
  • Must possess a Class-D Electrical License or greater issued by the City of New Orleans.
  • Must possess a valid Louisiana Drivers License.

Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:

  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino, and work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned task.
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, climb ladders and work on man-lift type equipment.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be able to read and understand Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical Plans.
