Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access points, verifying identification, responding to alarms/emergencies, and maintaining detailed logs. This role requires professionalism, strong observational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Role Overview

Security Engineers is seeking dedicated unarmed flex security officers to help maintain safe and secure environments for our clients. Officers play a vital role in deterring incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement. Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access points, verifying identification, responding to alarms/emergencies, and maintaining detailed logs. This role requires professionalism, strong observational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Patrol & Surveillance: Conduct walking patrols to identify and report safety concerns. Monitor access points; verify IDs and credentials. Monitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activity.
• Incident Response & Reporting: Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol. Maintain accurate logs of activities and incidents. Perform routine security tasks (e.g., locking/unlocking doors).
• Customer Service & Policy Enforcement: Assist visitors and employees professionally. Enforce site-specific post orders and security protocols. Ensure compliance with SEI and client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking).

Required Skills & Abilities

• Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
• Weekend availability
• Strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective in critical situations
• Basic computer skills; ability to use tablets for reporting

Physical Requirements

• Stand/sit for at least 1 hour without break
• Walk a minimum of mile without stopping
• Climb at least 20 commercial facility stairs without stopping

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• No prior experience required
• 1+ year of verifiable security, law enforcement or military experience preferred
• 2+ years of verifiable customer service experience preferred
