Position: Civil Heavy Machine Operator (Dozer/Excavator)
Location: North Shore, Louisiana
Pay Range: $25 - $27/hour

Are you a seasoned Dozer or Excavator Operator with expertise in GPS equipment, civil site grading, and precision pipe work? United Trades of America is hiring highly skilled professionals to work on impactful infrastructure projects across North Shore, Louisiana. This role is perfect for operators who take pride in their precision, problem-solving abilities, and hands-on skills.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Operate Heavy Machinery: Skillfully operate excavators, dozers, and other heavy equipment to grade, stabilize, and install box culverts.
• Pipe Installation and Grading: Work on large-diameter water, sewer, and drainage systems while maintaining accurate grade depths and blue-top grading precision.
• Stabilization Work: Perform base stabilization and precise grading between hubs to meet specifications.
• Equipment Checks: Perform daily checks on machinery (fluid levels, safety inspections) to ensure peak performance and compliance.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Proven proficiency with GPS equipment for grading and excavation.
• Expertise in civil site work, pipe installation, and drainage systems.
• Strong experience with large-diameter pipes, box culverts, and stabilization projects.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain exact grade depths and execute high-precision work.
• Professional Experience: Must be more than a forklift operator-we are seeking highly skilled heavy equipment operators.
• Safety Commitment: Willingness to conduct daily equipment checks for safety and reliability.
• Requirements:
  • Steel-toe boots (PPE provided; must be returned or reimbursed upon exit).
  • Tattoos acceptable, except for gang-related or racial imagery.
