PART TIME CASHIER/CUSTOMER SERVICE REP

Lofton Staffing is looking for a part time Cashier/Customer Service Representative for a building materials company in Abita Springs! The ideal candidate will have a friendly, outgoing personality, enjoy working with others, and have a dedication to providing excellent customer service. Must be comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment and live on the Northshore!

Pay: $13-$14/hr depending on experience
Schedule: Thursday and Friday 7am-5pm, Saturday 7am-12pm
Position Type: Temp to perm hire
Training provided!

Responsibilities:

Assist customers with product selection, pricing information, and order placement

Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, prices, and availability

Process sales transactions and operate the cash register

Create sales tickets and input customer orders into the computer system

Coordinate purchases and deliveries of special products

Maintain appropriate stock levels on the sales floor-must be able to lift up to 20lbs!

Conduct inventory control tasks, including cycle counts

Work collaboratively with outside sales representatives

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)

1 year of customer service experience (Required)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Familiarity with building materials is helpful

Commitment to ongoing learning about products, procedures, and industry knowledge

Additional Requirements:

Smoke-free facility (including vaping and tobacco products)

Reliable transportation required!

Must pass a drug screen and background check.
