Job Summary

The Inventory Technician / Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, tracking, and distributing materials and products to ensure accurate inventory levels and efficient warehouse operations. This role supports production, shipping, and quality standards by maintaining organized inventory systems and handling materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Accurately record inventory transactions in inventory management systems
  • Store materials in designated locations following FIFO and safety guidelines
  • Pick, stage, and deliver materials to production or shipping areas as required
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventory
  • Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or shortages
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (as certified)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
  • Follow company policies, OSHA regulations, and quality standards
  • Assist with packaging, labeling, and shipping preparation as needed
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or material handling preferred
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory software or ERP systems
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, labels, and inventory documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Previous Forklift or powered industrial truck experience
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in warehouse or production environments

$17-20 Day shift
