Overview:

A hotel porter, often referred to as a bellhop or bellman, is responsible for providing excellent guest assistance and maintaining public areas in a hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests upon arrival and help with luggage to rooms.
• Tag, carry, and transport luggage between rooms, vehicles, or storage.
• Provide information about hotel amenities and local attractions.
• Assist with check-in/check-out support and run errands (e.g., arranging taxis, delivering items).
• Maintain lobby and entrance cleanliness, including sweeping, vacuuming, and removing debris.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs); escalate larger issues.
• Set up and break down furniture or equipment for events as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent generally preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Physical stamina for lifting, carrying, and active work.
• Professional appearance, reliability, and a positive attitude.
