Education

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Experience

Required: None. Preferred: Hospital experience.

Certifications

Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification upon hire.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Proficiency in computer systems and software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exhibit self-direction.
  • Effective planning, organizational, and time management skills.

Job Duties

  • Provide direct patient care under the guidance of a registered nurse.
  • Perform clinical tasks as per departmental competencies.
  • Support nursing and hospital objectives by adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Accurately document patient-related activities.
  • Maintain professional skills through continuous education and certification.
  • Adapt communication and care approaches based on patient needs and preferences.
  • Undertake other related tasks as assigned.
