CLIENT HIGHLIGHT

The client you will be supporting is a Fortune 100 Oil & Gas Company and one of the most recognized energy producers in the United States. This role supports the company's Gulf of Mexico decommissioning and facilities program, which includes a multi-yearscope involving approximately 100 offshore facilities and 400 wells over the next 4–7 years.


This opportunity provides long-term exposure to offshore facilities, heavy lift execution, and late-life asset management within a large-scale offshore decommissioning program.


LOCATION

  • Gulf of America/Covington, LA (Shelf assets)
  • Offshore with potential onshore / office coordination depending on project phase


COMPENSATION

  • Rate dependent on experience


SCHEDULE

  • Offshore rotation
  • Rotation varies (not a fixed 14/14 schedule)

CONTRACT TERM

  • 1-year contract with very high likelihood of extension or conversion
  • 7 year long project scope
  • Potential for longer-term assignments based on performance and project needs


POSITION OVERVIEW – Offshore Facility Site Representative

The Offshore Facility Site Representative will support offshore facilities, topside construction, and heavy lift execution activities associated with Gulf of Mexico decommissioning and brownfield scope. This role is focused on offshore execution, contractor oversight, and technical coordination during platform removal, facilities modification, and preparation for heavy lift operations.


This is a field-execution role, not a people-development or office-based management position. The ideal candidate brings a technical background in engineering or construction management, offshore heavy construction exposure, and the maturity to operate confidently as a representative offshore.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as an offshore facility / site representative supporting topside construction and decommissioning activities
  • Support heavy lift operations, including platform and topside movements onto barges and transport offshore
  • Interface with heavy lift vessel operators, marine contractors, and facility teams
  • Provide technical oversight and coordination of offshore construction and removal activities
  • Ensure work execution aligns with approved procedures, safety expectations, and operational standards
  • Review and manage offshore paperwork, reporting, and field documentation
  • Monitor contractor performance and raise concerns related to safety, execution, or technical compliance
  • Participate in execution across multiple spreads and offshore activities based on experience level
  • Support brownfield modifications, facility preparation, isolation, and decommissioning scope as required


MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to meet offshore medical requirements
  • Technical or university education preferred (Construction Management or Engineering strongly preferred)
  • Offshore heavy construction experience
  • Offshore heavy lift vessel exposure (installations, decommissioning, or related execution)
  • Technical understanding of offshore construction and facilities work
  • Comfort working offshore as a client / site representative


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Offshore facilities, topside, or platform construction
  • Heavy lift operations involving:
  • Topsides lifts
  • Jacket lifts
  • Module installation or removal
  • Experience with major offshore construction contractors such as:
  • Offshore Marine Contractors
  • Heavy Offshore Work (H.O.W.) contractors
  • Early-to-mid career professionals encouraged to apply
  • Extensive years of experience not required
  • Candidates with strong fundamentals and field exposure are welcome


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • This role supports facilities and topside scope only
  • Subsea, diving, and pipeline backgrounds are not required and not desired
  • Candidates may rotate across multiple spreads and offshore activities depending on experience
