Program Manager Position:

Valkyrie is looking for an experienced Program Manager who will lead the development and execution of programs for commercial clients, managing the full product lifecycle from requirements definition through delivery while ensuring exceptional client communication throughout. This role requires someone with strong organizational capabilities who can collaborate effectively with data engineering leaders, architects, and business stakeholders to align technology roadmaps, prioritize features, and deliver impactful milestones on schedule. The ideal candidate will balance client-facing responsibilities-including proactive scope management and relationship building-with internal initiatives to strengthen our program management discipline, procedures, and documentation. You will ensure all programs meet compliance requirements for security, Responsible AI governance, and regulatory standards while maintaining efficient implementation timelines. Above all, this position demands excellence in client communication paired with a disciplined, process-oriented approach to program management.

Program Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, business, STEM or any related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in client-facing roles with demonstrated success managing complex stakeholder relationships
  • 2+ years of product management and/or project management experience, including full lifecycle ownership of technical programs
  • Proven track record of successfully balancing multiple client relationships while managing competing priorities across various programs and strategic initiatives
Technical & Communication Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Monday, Linear, Jira, Asana, MS Project), collaboration platforms (Slack, Teams), and full Microsoft Office/Google Workspace suites
  • Experience driving effective collaboration and technical problem-solving within cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams including engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience preparing and delivering executive-level documentation, proposals, SOWs, and strategic presentations
  • Proven ability to facilitate structured working sessions, workshops, and technical discussions with stakeholders at all organizational levels, from individual contributors to C-suite executives
Nice to have Qualifications
  • Strong conceptual understanding of Software Engineering methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and/or Data Science workflows and best practices
  • Proficiency with Keynote and advanced presentation design for high-impact client deliverables
  • 3+ years of consulting experience with top-tier firms or in-house consulting teams
  • 2+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, and developing junior team members with demonstrated leadership impact
  • Experience with Government contracting and compliance requirements
  • Certifications such as PMP, Agile/Scrum Master, or relevant technical certifications

The pay range for this role is:

75,000 - 100,000 USD per year (Austin)
