Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?

We're looking for a strategic, forward-thinking leader to join our team in the Regulatory Manager role. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to lead multiple initiatives in our filing organization supporting our commercial lines strategies. This role will lead our third-party filing function and drive process improvements focusing on filing execution including business partner communication and automation enhancements. This position applies strong business acumen and leadership to achieve business goals, partner with business customers and insurance departments driving value while delivering results supporting our business strategy. You may also be responsible for leading a team and supporting the management of regulatory initiatives and implementation of strategies to ensure adherence to laws and regulations and implementation of process improvement initiatives.What Will You Do?

  • Develop strong working relationships by serving as the lead contact with key internal business partners, state and federal regulatory agencies and external vendors.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities in the filing process through rigorous analysis of current processes and key performance measures
  • Develop and monitor commercial lines filing data including:
    • Ensure data is accurate, consistent, and reliable throughout its lifecycle.
    • Analyze key performance indicators to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement, providing actionable insights to support business decisions and strategy.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and implement effective solutions.
    • Develop and communicate data insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Reporting enhancements supporting filing execution against key performance indicators (KPI's)
  • Lead and develop improvement opportunities to improve speed to market/filing efficiencies including benefits to target goal
  • Continuously monitor and assist in reviewing insurance statutes and regulations to determine changes to product design, development and filing requirements, and adjust current practices accordingly. May partner with legal when appropriate.
  • Manage the optimization of regulatory tools and databases through consultation with vendors to incorporate the latest regulatory changes, industry standards and internal policy adjustments.
  • Manage project resources to ensure successful delivery of multiple complex projects within scope, budget and timeline.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Five or more years of experience with demonstrated knowledge of regulatory/compliance requirements, processes and procedures, knowledge of insurance products within line of business, filing, and or related fields.
  • Certification in one or more regulatory compliance or similarly recognized group such as ARC, AIRC, PIR, SPIR, CPCU, MCM, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present complex regulatory issues, skillfully negotiate and foster collaboration across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability to identify root causes and develop innovative solutions to complex and sensitive filing challenges.
  • Efficient prioritization skills to ensure resources are allocated accordingly and critical projects are completed on time.
  • Excellent relationship management skills to build and foster productive partnerships with internal and external business partners.
  • Proficiency in data management systems and tools
  • Ability to develop and leverage business and/or vendor partnerships and optimize value through solution identification aligned with business objectives preferred.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data quality.
  • Change leadership skills including the ability to create an inclusive environment, manage conflict and develop solutions to mitigate risk.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continually improve, share learnings with others and encourage team development.
What is a Must Have?
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three or more years of experience with knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance products.
