Position Overview:
Participates in developing and implementing employee engagement/proactive employee relations programs supporting the overall employee value proposition. Project management from survey administration through action planning while ensuring key stakeholders are educated and supported with key tools and resources and subject matter expertise.

Job Description:

The person selected for this role must come on site for meetings, work etc. around the Sutter Health System. This is not a remote role, and candidate must live in the Northern California Sutter Health footprint.

EDUCATION:

  • [Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma]
  • Bachelor's: Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor/Industrial Relations, Psychology or related field, or JD degree specializing in labor law.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
  • 5 years of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • Working knowledge of applicable employee/labor relations and employment laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of human resources functions.
  • Familiar with employment and labor trends and issues, and how it impacts workplace performance and the employee value proposition.
  • Ability to communicate through verbal and written means, with tact and diplomacy, and to present information to a variety of audiences.
  • Analytical and conceptual skills with a keen attention to details.
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach in identifying and addressing issues and concerns.
  • Ability to influence others by persuasion, negotiation, and problem solving.
  • Collaboration skills to facilitate open sharing of information and cooperation with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to establish trust and credibility, and to interact and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the performance of role's duties while respecting cultural and linguistic differences and fostering an inclusive work environment.
  • Organization skills to effectively manage and/or re-prioritize activities and projects to meet deadlines while maintaining a high degree of responsiveness.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with changing business priorities.
  • Ability to maintain and work discreetly with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to use essential applications and/or databases associated with the role's duties and responsibilities.

Pay Range is $126,256.00 to $189,384.00 / annual salary

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health's comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
