Position Overview

As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will be a pivotal member of our team, taking ownership of the user experience and client-side architecture of our AI-driven legal tech platform. You will be responsible for building, optimizing, and scaling our user interfaces, ensuring they are responsive, efficient, and intuitive for lawyers. Your work will directly shape the product that our users interact with every day.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable frontend applications with reusable component libraries to improve development speed and ensure UI consistency across our legal tech platform.
• Lead frontend optimization efforts focusing on Core Web Vitals, performance strategies, and perceived responsiveness to deliver a best-in-class user experience.
• Design and implement complex state management solutions to handle AI-powered workflows, user sessions, and real-time data synchronization.
• Establish and champion high standards for code quality, accessibility, testing, and maintainability through code reviews and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate complex legal workflows into intuitive, responsive UI components.
• Develop and enhance user-facing features for AI-powered workflows, ensuring seamless integration with backend APIs.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-10 years of professional experience in frontend web development.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience building and maintaining large-scale, complex, and high-performance web applications (e.g., on "big" or "important" projects).
• Deep proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and modern frontend frameworks (Next.js preferred).
• Strong experience with component libraries and design system implementation.
• Experience with state management solutions and React patterns.
• Proficiency with CSS frameworks and responsive design principles.
• Strong understanding of frontend testing and modern build tools.
• Experience with REST API integration and managing complex client-side state.

Preferred Skills

• Professional experience from top-tier internet, SaaS, or product-driven tech companies.
• Experience with building open-source applications using Large Language Models (LLMs) or developing AI-powered products.
• Familiarity with error monitoring and performance tracking tools.
• Deep knowledge of web performance optimization techniques and Core Web Vitals.
• Experience with advanced React patterns, custom hooks, and complex state management architectures.
• Interest in or basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and how they integrate with the frontend.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (like Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with backend technologies (like Python) and database concepts.
