Barge Topside Technician

Responsibilities:

Maintenance and repair of barge equipment.

Working alongside of a customer representative daily.

Perform preventative maintenance to avoid operational failures.

Greasing all parts and components of the barge.

Chipping and painting rusty areas of the barge.

Reporting directly to the job sight in the morning.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Ability to lift and carry 50lbs for extended distances.

Ability to work in any and all adverse weather conditions.

Ability to climb ladders, stairs and gangways up to 25 feet in height.

Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and work above head for extended periods of time.

Ability to operate Rio Marine vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.

Valid TWIC card and driver's license.

Experience working on or around tugboats and barges.

Clean Driving Record are required to be eligible for hire.

Must be willing to work odd hours in a non - climate control and onboard barges, tugboats, and offshore supply vessel, 24-7-365
