As an Emergency Department Technician, you will play a key role in assisting nursing staff by providing quality care to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. Your contributions will help ensure safety, comfort, and recovery in our fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: No prior hospital experience required, although it is preferred.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required. Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification must be obtained upon hire.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of software applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care while supervised by a registered nurse.
  • Perform clinical tasks as outlined in departmental competencies.
  • Document patient-related tasks accurately.
  • Maintain professional knowledge and certifications through ongoing development.
  • Adjust behavior to meet the needs of specific patient populations.
  • Assist with any other related duties as required.

This role involves physical demands, including lifting and moving patients, as well as exposure to bodily fluids and potentially hazardous materials. Must be prepared for a dynamic work environment.
