Job Details

The primary responsible for the plant operator is operating the materials processing equipment that produces the product for sale in a sand and gravel or a quarry operation. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH Using a computer or manual controls to operate primary or secondary crushing or other plant equipment in order to meet site production needs. Visually observe and monitor gauges etc., of all equipment while in operation to maintain proper flow of material on belts, crushers and screens. Walk around plant, observing plant, monitoring the size, quality of the materials, looking for anomalies. Perform preventive maintenance and pre-shift inspections. Perform clean up, perform greasing of bearings, assist team members with plant mode changes, and perform repairs as needed. May run a front end loader or other material handling equipment to charge the plant with aggregate, sand and other materials.
