Job Details

The Millwright performs activities for the removal, relocation and installation of plant process machinery andequipment. Studies blueprints, manufacturer's diagrams, sketches, and work order instructions in order to planlayout, rigging, movement, aligning and balancing operation for the more complex types of equipment andmachinery. Directs the work of lower grade employees. Responsibilities Essential Job Duties:Makes floor layouts which include location of attachment holes and machinery and/or equipment location layouts on various assignments and for such moves which involve relocation of an entire departmental section or a portion of a section. Rigs, moves, aligns, and balances heavy cumbersome machinery and equipment as indicated. Builds structures and rigging as required in the moving of equipment and/or machinery.
