About this Job This is a full-time position located at the State Museum in New Orleans, LA. The Curatorial Services Director reports to the Assistant Secretary and is one of the senior managers of the Louisiana State Museum (LSM). The position is responsible for overseeing the activities of the LSM in the categories of: Collections, Exhibits, History, and Education. The Curatorial Services Director provides advice to the Museum Assistant Secretary with respect to the management and development of LSM's collections and exhibitions. The Louisiana State Museums collections and educational programs stimulate awareness and appreciation of our states rich and diverse history and culture. Minimum Qualifications A master's degree in museum studies, a humanities field, education, or fine arts plus five years of museum or curatorial experience; ORA doctorate degree in museum studies, a humanities field, education, or fine arts plus three years of museum or curatorial experience.
