A client in the Covington LA area is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support a large-scale network expansion initiative announced in late 2024. This is a project-based contract role focused on infrastructure buildout rather than day-to-day manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on coordination support across procurement, logistics, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, global environment.
This role sits within the Supply Chain organization and will work closely with Program Management, Construction, Facilities, and Engineering teams to ensure timely and accurate movement of materials.
Key Responsibilities
Support procurement-heavy supply chain and logistics activities related to infrastructure buildout
Coordinate with vendors and external partners for equipment sourcing, logistics, and material movement
Assist with tracking quoted equipment and global shipment coordination
Generate and maintain reports for internal stakeholders and primary customers
Collaborate with Program Management, Construction, Facilities, and Engineering teams (electrical, gateway, etc.)
Follow established processes while providing day-to-day operational support
Assist with coordination tasks rather than owning full transactional responsibility
Help ensure materials are in the right place, at the right time, to support project milestones

Required Skills & Experience
3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or coordination-based roles
(open to slightly less experience for highly adaptable candidates)
Prior experience supporting logistics, procurement, or supply chain operations
Strong Excel skills, including: Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, Report creation and data manipulation
Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred, but not required)
Ability to interpret and communicate information in a technical environment
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven setting
