Job Details

Assists all patients, family members, physicians, visitors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner. Answers all incoming calls quickly and pleasantly, always clearly identifying self and company greeting. Transfers patients and guests to appropriate department. Verifies and registers vendors following policy procedures. Reviews all codes regularly and prepared to call codes as directed or per policy. Pages/beeps as per policy, including but not limited to providers on call. Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
