Job Details

Coordinates, reviews, evaluates and resolves complex engineering issues prepared by the shipbuilder, government contractor organizations or the government design agent to assure the SSC mechanical systems (Gas Turbine Engines, Propulsion Drive Train, Hydraulic and Lube Oil Systems, Control Surface Actuators, etc.) are installed and tested in accordance with the applicable test plan. This includes resolving system engineering, installation, testing and operational issues and supporting special event testing to proof system functionality and to resolve unique problems. The incumbent is required to witness testing dockside and on sea trials. Observes equipment and system performance. Documents deficiencies. Resolves deficiencies or provides expert recommendation to the Test Director to assist in resolution. Provides waterfront support to the various project offices in the resolution of engineeringand testing problems.
