Located in Covington, Louisiana, our corporate office houses our global satellite operations command center, product customer shipping center, engineering facilities and more.

The Electronics Technician is responsible for incoming product inspection audits, product rework/updates, and filling other technical roles reporting to Engineering Technical Services Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Carry out product inspections and document findings following QA guidance.
  • Carry out product programming requests and/or FW updates following QA or ENG guidance.
  • Analyze and interpret test data along with identifying next steps to be taken.
  • Verify functionality of newly designed products performance under actual operating conditions.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical assembly of factory test station equipment.
  • Perform basic failure analysis, record results and provide corrective actions.
  • Run experiments under the guidance of an engineer.

  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multi-task is essential
  • Excellent analytical, and numerical skills
  • Ability to use measuring and diagnostic equipment, such DMMs
  • Understanding of failure analysis, corrective, and preventative action techniques
  • Excellent workmanship skills
  • Ability to perform tests and keep accurate records
  • Ability to learn new technologies and techniques

Education, Experience, and Licenses/Certifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate's degree or equivalent in technical work a plus
  • General understanding of electrical principles and terminology a plus
  • Experience with spectrum analyzers and network analyzers, and other electrical laboratory measurement equipment a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Willingness and ability to work after regularly scheduled hours as needed
  • Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods working on a computer (4 to 8 hours)
  • Ability to operate the equipment used for the job
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds at times
