Perform the physical and administrative tasks involved in shipping and receiving. Maintains records of received goods/pieces of mail. Prepares and maintains records of items shipped/mailed. Prepares goods/pieces of mail for final shipment.
Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum 2 years of previous mail room experience.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral. Excellent computer skills, specifically word processing and database entry and knowledge of fax and scanning machines. Ability to learn quickly. Ability to sort the mail in a way to help ease and speed of delivery.
Lift heavy boxes, files or paper when needed. Regularly required to travel from floor to floor and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions. Regularly required to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Regularly use hands to operate office machinery.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May be required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.
