Step into a rewarding contract role supporting student success as a Para/VOCO Facilitator starting August 2026 in the vibrant New Orleans area. You'll be a vital classroom presence, partnering with a virtual school psychologist or speech-language pathologist to ensure students in special education settings receive the high-quality attention and care they deserve. This full-time position spans the academic year, providing a steady schedule of 35 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

• Associate's degree, OR a ParaPro assessment score of 450+ OR a minimum of 48 completed semester credit hours is required
• Prior experience working in a special education classroom is essential
• Ability to pass district-required drug screen and fingerprinting
• Flexible, collaborative approach and comfort facilitating virtual instruction
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support special education students within a classroom while facilitating virtual sessions
• Collaborate with school psychologists or SLPs delivering teletherapy services
• Assist with classroom activities, behavior support, and implementing individualized instructional plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow district procedures
• Adapt to varying school assignments and diverse student needs
