This is a full-time position located at the State Museum in New Orleans, LA. The Carpenter Foreman is responsible for the supervision and oversight of scheduling, reviewing, installing, repairing, and maintaining all carpentry tasks as related to the Louisiana State Museum system including the following: Cabildo, Creole House, Jackson House, Arsenal, Presbytere, Madame John's Legacy, Collection Facility, Lower Pontalba including all commercial and residential spaces, 1850 House, and the Old U.S. Mint all located in New Orleans. Also included are: E.D. White House in Thibodaux, Wedell Williams Aviation and Cypress Sawmill Museum in Patterson, Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Northwest Regional History Museum in Natchitoches, and the Capitol Park Museum in Baton Rouge. The Louisiana State Museum's collections and educational programs stimulate awareness and appreciation of our state's rich and diverse history and culture.
Two years of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been on-the-job experience: Four years of experience or training in the carpentry trade.
