Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented bartender to join our team for the early shift from 6:00am to 10:30am (11am) Wednesday - Sunday. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and efficient preparation and serving of beverages, maintaining the cleanliness of the service bar, and completing essential prep workfor the day and upcoming shifts. This position requires strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently while ensuring smooth operations during peak hours in the morning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers, ensuring high-quality drinks and service.
  • Adhere to all restaurant and bar standards when preparing drinks, garnishes, and cocktails.
  • Monitor customer orders and ensure timely and accurate delivery of drinks.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest needs and questions promptly.

Criollo Service Bar Maintenance

  • Clean and maintain the service bar area throughout the shift, ensuring it is organized and fully stocked.
  • Keep bar tools, glasses, and surfaces sanitized and ready for use.
  • Ensure the bar area is presentable and well-maintained throughout the entire shift.
  • Assist Beverage Storeroom Manager with PAR stock at the Lobby Bar. Review, count, organize or confirm product levels as directed by the Beverage Storeroom Manager.

General Responsibilities

  • Follow all food safety and alcohol service regulations.
  • Ensure that all drinks are made and delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work effectively with Criollo team members to maintain a smooth bar operation.

  • Follow other directions from the Criollo General Manager.

Qualifications

  • Previous bartending or relevant food and beverage experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, bar tools, and techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be available to work early morning and maintain punctuality.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 30lbs for restocking and bar setup.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid alcohol server's permit (if required by local laws).

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • The position is located in a temperature controlled environment

Physical Demands

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

  • Frequently stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally walk

Education and Experience

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One (1) year of customer service experience
  • One (1) year of high volume bartender experience
