Description:

WHAT YOU'LL DOAs Shop Foreman , you own the floor. You will direct the daily operations of four specialized shop departments, driving output, quality, and safety while developing the workforce beneath you. Key responsibilities include:Direct and coordinate daily production operations across Assembly, Fabrication, Hydraulics, and Machine Shop departmentsDevelop and manage work schedules, workflow assignments, and labor allocation to maximize efficiency and meet delivery deadlinesRead and interpret complex engineering drawings, hydraulic schematics, and electrical diagrams to guide production accuracyOversee assembly of complex crane and heavy industrial equipment components to engineering specificationsTroubleshoot production issues and equipment problems in real time, driving rapid resolution to minimize downtimeLead, mentor, and performance-manage shop personnel - conducting evaluations, delivering coaching, and supporting career developmentTrain new and existing employees on processes, equipment operation, and safety complianceEnsure all shop work meets Altrad Sparrows quality standards; identify and correct non-conformances before they elevateEnforce strict compliance with all HSEQ policies, safety regulations, and Sparrows Integrated Management System requirementsReport incidents, near misses, and potential hazards to management immediatelyEnsure accurate completion of all shop paperwork, job documentation, and sign-off processesLiaise with the maintenance team on equipment issues and coordinate repair priorities to sustain operational readinessSupport warehousing functions, ensuring materials, components, and finished assemblies are correctly identified, stored, and trackedCollaborate with the Business Manager on production planning, capacity needs, and continuous improvement initiativesWHAT YOU BRINGWe're looking for a proven industrial leader who leads from the front and earns respect on the shop floor.
