Description:

Phlebotomist (Nights)Responsible for the collection of blood and other specimens from residents in long‑term care settings in the Slidell/Bogalusa area, including but not limited to nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other residential care environments. Working under the standards of a CLIA‑certified laboratory, the phlebotomist ensures timely, safe, compassionate specimen collection while maintaining the integrity of samples for accurate diagnostic testing.Core ResponsibilitiesTravel daily to multiple nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other residential care environments to perform phlebotomy procedures, pick up specimens, or deliver suppliesVerify patient identity and ensure proper labeling of all specimens according to laboratory protocolCollect blood samples using proper techniques and equipmentPrepare specimens for transport to the laboratory, ensuring appropriate packaging and documentationFollow all CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control regulationsMaintain communication with lab personnel, facility staff, and healthcare providers regarding any issues or concernsDocument all visits, patient interactions, and sample collections accurately in electronic or paper logsMaintain phlebotomy supplies, including restocking and proper disposal of sharps and biohazardous materials. May require delivery of supplies to facilities serviced by the Company.Provide excellent patient service, especially to elderly and medically fragile populationsOther business‑related tasks as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredCertification and registration with LSBME preferredAt least 1 year of phlebotomy experience, preferably in a mobile or geriatric settingValid driver's license and reliable transportationMust be able to work a rotating on‑call schedule, including weekends and/or holidays as neededMust have reliable means of communication which allows mobile access to various online Company applicationsKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsComfortable working independently and traveling between multiple locationsAbility to manage time effectively and adapt to variable schedulesCompassionate demeanor and respect for elderly and vulnerable populationsAbility to work with a high degree of independenceBenefitsAll full‑time members of the Tsela team receive access to a comprehensive benefits package on the first of the month following their date of hire, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other supplemental benefit options.#J-18808-Ljbffr
