Description:

Retirement Plan Coordinator (Entry Level)

Full-time | Remote | $50,000–$60,000 per year

About the role

Start a career in retirement plan administration with Emparion. No prior retirement plan experience is required. You will help new clients through their first year with us, learn from experienced Defined Benefit Plan Administrators, and build skills toward becoming a Defined Benefit Plan Administrator.

This role combines client service, organized follow-up, and careful handling of plan information. You will communicate with clients through scheduled phone calls and written follow-up, helping them understand what we need and what comes next.

What you will do

• Serve as a helpful, reliable point of contact for clients in their first year with Emparion.

• Request, collect, and track onboarding documents and plan data through scheduled daily calls and follow-up.

• Explain our process, timelines, and next steps in clear language.

• Track first-year milestones and support administrators with census collection, compliance testing, Form 5500 preparation, and annual statements as you learn.

• Keep accurate records, follow up on outstanding items, and flag questions or issues to your team.

• Support Defined Benefit Plan Administrators with routine plan work, client requests, and team projects.

• Learn retirement plan rules, services, and procedures through hands-on training and mentorship.

What you bring

• A bachelor's degree OR at least three years of equivalent professional work experience.

• At least one year of experience in client service, administrative support, or financial support. Relevant experience may count toward the work-experience alternative above.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and comfort learning custom applications.

• Clear, professional written and verbal communication, including confidence speaking with clients by phone.

• Strong organization, attention to detail, and reliable follow-through.

• Comfort working with a small, collaborative remote team.

Helpful, but not required

• Exposure to retirement plans or financial services.

• Interest in pursuing an industry credential, such as ASPPA's QKA, over time.

Pay, benefits, and schedule

• Pay: $50,000–$60,000 per year.

• Employment: Full-time employee.

• Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage and a 401(k), subject to plan eligibility and terms.

• Location: Fully remote. Current hiring focus includes the Greater Phoenix Area, Texas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, eight-hour shifts.

• Development: Hands-on training, mentorship, and a path toward a Defined Benefit Plan Administrator role as you gain experience.

How to apply

Apply through LinkedIn with your resume. Please highlight relevant client service, administrative, or financial support experience. Retirement plan experience is welcome but is not required.
