Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Pressure Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, assembly, and testing of pressure control systems used in ASME pressure vessels for human occupancy. This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on experience, and the ability to work across the full lifecycle of system development—from concept through validation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design pressure control systems for ASME pressure vessels, including system architecture and functional requirements
  • Select and specify components such as regulators, valves, instrumentation, and control elements
  • Develop system schematics, P&IDs, and supporting technical documentation
  • Lead and participate in hands-on assembly and integration of pressure systems
  • Plan and execute system testing, including pressure testing, functional validation, and troubleshooting
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, PVHO where applicable)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical design, manufacturing, and operations
  • Support continuous improvement of system performance, safety, and manufacturability

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor`s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field)
  • 10+ years of experience working with pressure systems
  • Demonstrated experience in pressure system design, component selection, and integration
  • Hands-on experience with pressure system assembly and testing
  • Strong understanding of pressure system safety principles and relevant codes/standards
  • Ability to develop and interpret technical schematics and documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ASME pressure vessels for human occupancy (PVHO)
  • Familiarity with gas systems, high-pressure air systems, or similar applications
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or prototype development environment
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, controls, and system automation

Work Environment

  • Hybrid role based in Slidell, LA
  • Approximately 75% onsite presence required for hands-on development, testing, and collaboration
